The Plinian Core is a set of concepts that defines the necessary basic attributes to integrate and recover the information about species of organisms required by users specialized in biodiversity as well as users of other areas.

The current version compiles a list of high-priority concepts selected by different groups of people interested in having apt mechanisms to access integrated information of species using Internet.
